Sippy Cup Stress

Maybe I'm just making too much of it. Maybe every mother in the history of sippy cups has had the same stress as me. Maybe I'm just choosing the wrong cups. Every single cup I've ever had for my son or my daughter has leaked. It seems I cant get away from leaky cups. Has anyone come across a good cup that doesn't leak? Does it exist? Surely I'm not the only parent struggling with this. There must be a better option. I've tried cheap ones, expensive ones, plastic ones, stainless ones, straw ones and the kind with valves too. It doesnt seem to matter. They are all good for a week or so and then leak leak leak leak leak. Ahhhhh. They can make baby bottles that don't leak and water bottles that don't leak, surely they can make sippy cups that don't leak too?
Help?

I love toques

I love winter for two things: Snow and Toques. I am not big on hats for myself but for some reason I LOVE TOQUES!!! I love crocheting them and I love wearing them. I have crocheted many toques this year, but none for me. I find myself searching through patterns over and over and I never seem to find one that I love for me. Or I like it for a few days and cant decide what colour(s) to make it and then I lose my love for the pattern. As far as I can tell, this is a huge dilemma. Winter is almost over (at least it feels like spring...) and I still haven't made myself one. Any suggestions? Please, send me links to women's toques. I am having a heck of a time finding a great one for myself. Thanks

I tried one I found today at Head Huggers. My first attempt was far too large for my head, when i took it apart and adjusted it it became too small. So small that it now fits my (almost) 2 year old daughter. So, she has a new cute toque, and Mom is still searching :(

Introduction

I am a full time Mom and a full time worker. My heart is at home at all times, I work to pay for bills (and yarn). I spent the last 4 years being a stay at home mom and running a home daycare. I needed a break from daycare without the pay cut, so for now I'm working. I hope it wont last long, but we'll see how finances go. I spend what spare time I do have crocheting, baking and finding new ways to have fun with my 2 little munchkins. We live in northern Alberta, where its cold and windy... all the time! I'm 27 and have been with my husband 7 years now. We have a 4 year old son and a 21 month old daughter, I also have an 18 year old step son.
I'll be posting recipes and patterns that I feel are worth sharing, aswell as my regular ramblings.

Thanks for reading
